Full Bio
SHIFT 3.0 is the first major release from MASKARAID Productions, LLC/nEMEsis Records and features the efforts of all artists currently involved with the entity (SEVEN12-Alternative Hip Hop/Pop, Patty Powers-Adult Contemporary/Pop, Wil Gonzalez-Pop/Pop Rock, and FIGS-Hip Hop). While each of the aforementioned individuals was signed (and will continue life) as solo artists, they agreed to unite together for this project and adopted the name “MASKARAID”.
The record consists of solo and collaborative works between the artists and was designed to be presented as a solid piece of art (as opposed to what could have been a disconcerting label compilation). The project’s palette is as diverse as the artists it represents, consistently shifting between R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, Rock, and various Ethnic tone sets (sometimes within a single song) only to be held together by the talents of the artists, the strength of the production, and the integrity of the songs (which mostly deal with issues of the heart). It is this juxtaposition of genres that helped give this project its name…SHIFT 3.0. The album also features strong instrumental moments as it includes work from many other talented individuals such as Tony Levin, BT, Jeff Tyzic, DJ Green Lantern, Grammy Award winning mix guru Mick Guzauski, The Rochester Philharmonic, The Moscow Session Orchestra, and others.
The purpose of this project was to introduce MASKARAID Productions, LLC/nEMEsis Records, and its artists, to the Billboard 200 while establishing the firm as a viable firm in a variety of the world’s markets. The project has already begun its pilgrimage (“Origins”, the first single from the project, was recently released to radio country wide and has climbed to the Top 10 in several secondary and R&R markets). Where this project will end up has yet to be determined as alternative media promotion is to follow. It will be released to all major online venues first (such as iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Real Networks, and others) with the goal being to link up with a viable distributor shortly thereafter. THE SHIFT IS NOW!

Best compliment
´´I give MASKARAID’s Shift 3.0 the “green light”. It reminded me of why I fell in love with music in the first place. If you do not, at least, check this album out, then you are really missing the point of what the music industry is supposed to be about.´´
