Fame Games is not “just a music radio show.” In fact, it’s nothing short of a revolution in how music is selected and promoted today. Full Bio
Irya Gmeyner spent her early years in Newcastle, England. She moved with her English parents to north of Sweden but returned to England as a teenager, where she made a living as a busker playing balalajka in the streets. In the evenings she played at the local pub, Acorn in York.

After a year in England, Irya returned to Sweden and started Circus Cirkör along with some friends. At the same time, she and a childhood friend from Delsbo started the group URGA, with Irya as the lead singer. URGA has made 3 albums and played over 700 concerts around the world. URGA is still a name on the European alternative underground music scene, even though the band has not played live for several years.

The debut album ´´Irya´s Playground´´ (Byker Wall/Universal) Released on October the 1st 2008.

Irya Gmeyner is hugely charismatic on stage.and her music breathes the big city, with influences such as dub, punk, new wave and electro, giving traditional rock music a new vitality. Irya´s Playground on world tour
The band’s collaboration with Cirkus Cirkör has become an international success!

Irya’s Playground began yet another extensive world tour with Cirkus Cirkör starting in Tampere Finland on August 7 2009. The performance called ´´Inside Out´´ has been a sold out success.

Irya´s Playground is the live band in the performance of Inside Out. They have used a large portion of the music from the debut album ´´Irya´s Playground´´ in the show and are one of the key ingredients to why the show has recieved such rave reviews. The album reached a Top 5 position on the Swedish album charts! Reviews have been unanimously overwhelming and the debut has reached wide spread recognition in native Sweden. The collaboration between Cirkus Cirkör and Irya´s Playground is planned to tour for at least 2 more years as there is a tremendous global interest in the performance Inside Out as well as Irya´s Playground.

Short Bio
Irya´s Playground has finally released their eponymous debut Album, on Byker Wall/Universal.

Most of the songs are taken from the very first demo sessions with additional recordings.

The EP is mixed by Ebbot Lundberg (from The Soundtrack Of Our Lives). Other friends and great musicians that have been part of creating the songs are Conny Nimmersjö & Jonas Jonasson (Bob Hund), Martin Hederos & Ebbot Lundberg (T.S.O.O.L), Stefan Axelsen & Anders Hernestam (Weeping Willows), Bebe Risenfors (Tom Waits/Elvis Costello), Svante Loden & Måns Mernsten (Damn!/Timbuktu), Erik Nilsson and Jon Bergström.

The song ´´My Angel´´ will for the first time be performed in the new swedish drama serie ´´Labyrint´´ on Thursday the 11th of October.
