Fame Games is not “just a music radio show.” In fact, it’s nothing short of a revolution in how music is selected and promoted today. Fame Games gives the best independent artists valuable A&R opportunities, advice and career guidance, as well as a potentially massive new audience through network radio play based on merit (finally!), compiled daily using a sophisticated song evaluation system.
Fame Games introduces discerning listeners to the very best new music, produced by “undiscovered” independent and “unsigned” artists. Shockingly, the quality of music which reaches the top of the Fame Games charts easily rivals (and often outstrips) the quality of music listeners are force-fed by national network radio and TV.
Fame Games is formatted as an entertaining, daily radio show, with something for everyone. New music is showcased and discussed and put in context for new fans to discover and embrace. The show is a “front” for MMI’s complex song evaluation system which continues to find the very best new artists and songs every day. The show’s host, DJ Crier, is supported by a diversified judging panel which includes accomplished music industry professionals as well as representatives of divergent demographics, in order to best reflect upon any song’s “crossover” potential.
With incisive song analyses, entertaining presenters, frequent world-famous guests on “The Red Carpet” and most importantly showcases of the best music you never knew existed, Fame Games is guaranteed to keep you glued to your radio day in and day out!
Fame Games also features the exclusive “Cowell Factor,” presented by Tony Cowell (Simon’s older, wiser brother and head of CowellMedia). This strategic alliance has nothing to do with the likes of American Idol or X-Factor. In fact, it’s a wholehearted endorsement of something quite opposite. Tony’s come onboard to help Fame Games to discover (and place!) real, un-manufactured world-class musical talent!
Fame Games airs daily through CitadelMedia (ABC) radio networks, as well as on demand, online on the Fame Games and MeerMusic sites and affiliated sites.
Fame Games is the best place for artists and fans to meet, and entertain realistic hopes of saving the world from bad music!

It´s my turn to speak
The following has been updated...
Let me be different and make this more of a personal bio, rather than the proverbial musical resume that some seem to put up on this site. The main reason is I have no credits, other than I am a multi-instrumentalist that records music in his bedroom, much to the chagrin of his wife, and to the dismay of many a reviewer on Fame Games.
I was once in a band with the son of Bugs Henderson. There you have it. There is nothing more notable than that, and I believe we both sucked at the time. I don’t think I suck half as bad as some people think now, maybe only a quarter. Actually, I am a musical genious, you just haven´t figured out how to appreciate it yet! I mix like a deaf man sometimes, but I always write and play like hell on wheels. You know I do this on a shoestring budget, but it entertains me.
Seriously, I write like I like to write. It is my own. I call it Grunk. I have some punk, grunge, and rock influences blended into some ear raping crap. I like to press outside of my typical genre boundaries from time to time. Most of the time I’m out of tune on purpose, so stop trying to correct me, I love imperfection.
My belief is that a musician’s primary job is to evoke an emotion or reaction from the listener. Bland music is awful. It’s like food without seasoning, or should I say European food. You have to feel something. My favorite emotions are anger and sadness, as is no surprise if you listen. Nothing is more powerful than sorrow, because I believe you must reach the depths of sorrow to fully appreciate joy.
As a reviewer I always have mood on my mind. If I’m not moved, I’m not interested. It’s nothing personal. Get me pissed, energized, relaxed, or upset, and I’ll love you forever. I hate boring. There is too much boring, run of the mill, just like everyone else on the radio crap going on here too frequently. I am here to bring balance and perspective to the force. The last stop gap before you make the main show. Like everyone else, I can make you, and I can break you. If you´re original and sound good, have no fear.
Remember if you’re reviewing me that this is not my career. It is my passion. It is my release. I do enjoy the thought that somewhere in the world someone might be listening to something I’ve written. It’s my mark on someone’s life, from my bedroom to his or hers. My entire production is brought to you on a $400 8-track! lmao Funny that I compete with real studios. Just be glad I don´t have that budget. Otherwise I would kick your ass and take over the world.
The piano is my first instrument. I enjoy unwinding by playing classical music, or by jamming along with my guitar to some of my favorite bands. I picked up the piano at 5, the bass at 14, and the guitar at 16. My favorite artists would include Shinedown, John Denver, Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Paul Simon, Alice in Chains, The Doors, The Beatles, Soundgarden/Chris Cornell, Alter Bridge/Creed, The Offspring, and Nine Inch Nails in no particular order.
I’m happily married, again ). I have three great kids, two boys ages 13 & 9, and an adorable little girl who is 4. I eat nothing grown from the ground except potatoes, and smoke 2 packs a day, which means I’m probably destined for heart disease.
Fame Games is a lot of fun, and I am thankful to the crew for their dedication to it. Although, I miss the smallness of the old show, when you could communicate with the staff before they all got too busy. That’s everything you need to know about me.
NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW
The James Walker project was born in 2007 much to the dismay and surprise of many, yet perseveres 3 years later after a 14 month hiatus from writing and recording. James Walker blends a unique variety of influences into a sound that is uniquely his own. The low growl and severe personality disorder, blended with heavy guitars and chunky rhythms, has been a past regular on Fame Games.
Now after 3 consecutive years as a Hard Rock Effigy finalist, James is back and heavier than ever. The new single, My Turn to Speak, is a song of triumph in the midst of tragedy. The song takes the best elements of previous work, and turns those into the ultimate anthem of anger for those feeling jilted in their interpersonal relationships. Walker is now taking his aggressive writing style to a new level, and the continued maturing of his artistry is apparent in his current work.
My Turn to Speak is Walker’s promise to be around for the 4th straight year on Fame Games, and proof that some thorns are hard to pull out. The songwriting speaks for itself. Nineteen straight Q show appearances, 2 main show appearances, and Hall of Fame recognition for high scores prove the lovability of the ultimate indie rock bedroom head banger.
Short Bio
Single artist project rooted with heavy influences of `80`s hard rock and `90`s grunge alternative.
